Would not have expected to find the darling of the alt-Homies who lulls his target group of lost young Homies with his anti-Homie visions into buying his books that sell his advice on the base of data from The Bay Area as universally applicable, who insults his trans students with the argument of free speech and who academics on the one hand consider laughable, on the other one a dangerous charlatan. I would add that you find and make friends with people who've practiced handling discomfort for a long time. That way those behaviors are more attractive, and more 'normal' to you.
